REIKI
A Japanese word meaning “universal life energy.” It is a gentle method of hands on healing that taps into the energy referred to as Ki in Japan, Chi in China, and Prana in India. This is not massage, hypnosis, or a tool for diagnosing illness, but a technique that addresses chronic and acute conditions gently and powerfully. It promotes balance among all the body systems and the regenerative processes of the body and mind.

In the process of providing my Reiki service, the Chakra system is also cleared. Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning “wheel” or “vortex.” The Chakra’s in the human body are subtle energy centers of which there are seven.

1. Base Chakra (Sexual Center): The groin
2. Navel Chakra (Creative Center): The navel
3. Personality Chakra (Solar Plexus): Just below rib cage
4. Heart Chakra (Emotional Center): Middle of chest
5. Throat Chakra (Communication Center): The throat
6. The Third Eye (Wisdom): Middle of forehead
7. The Crown Chakra (Spiritual Center): Above the scalp

When these centers are in balance, there is health and well-being. An imbalance results in energy loss. I work with these seven energy centers, clearing their energy conduits and opening your connection with your physical, emotional, and spiritual self.
