CARROL SCHOLZ
I was raised in rural Port Orchard, WA. As an adult, I have lived in the country outside of Vancouver, WA for over 25 years. Like most children, at an early age I was drawn to animals as they were to me. I was forever bringing injured creatures home to repair, coddle, and care for until their health returned for their release. Not realizing my intuitive gift of making the initial connection with my patients, and then relaxing them into a state of allowing a human to help them, I continued my interaction with domestic pets, wild birds, and small mammals. I was content and thrilled that I was a part of their lives. I had the ability to hear animals, to heal through emotional thought, but was unaware of my intuitive gift.

After high school I continued my education, attending art school in Norway and majoring in the arts. I married, raised four beautiful children and enjoyed the kinship with animals and horses throughout this time. I settled in Vancouver, WA in the early 80’s.

Having horses of my own, I became exposed to other owners and their horses, quickly learning that many horses were difficult for their owners to manage and handle. The reasons varied, but generally was a result of abusive caretakers or past abusive imprinting. These horses failed to respond to conventional training techniques. I volunteered to work with their animals, discovering that I had a natural gift of hearing and communicating with the horse on an unseen level.

This healing energy enabled me to understand their fears, allowing me to form sensitivity to their needs while developing my natural training principles that incorporated my handling techniques. The results were immediate. I understood through energetic awareness any present physical issue, which enabled me to correct their behavioral problems through guidance of my intuitive touch. It also became clear to me when an animal was or was not enjoying what was being required of them. In the mid 90’s I owned and operated the Centerline Equestrian Center where I conducted my horse training business. I continued to work with other animals from ducks to large mammals. As a result of my natural communication abilities and recognition as an intuitive animal healer, my business Gentle Voices came into being.
